Preventive Medicine
Mission
  • To provide epidemiologic and public health research support to Defense Department units worldwide; the scope of activities includes infectious diseases, accession medical standards, chronic diseases, non-battle injuries, and public health aspects of humanitarian assistance.
  • To provide assistance in the design and conduct of other militarily-relevant medical investigations.
  • To conduct graduate medical education in preventive medicine.
